Apdex Alliance Holds its Second Annual Apdex Symposium at CMG'07

Full Day Conference within a Conference Focuses on Using Apdex Methodology to Measure and Assess How Effectively IT Supports Business Objectives

TURNERSVILLE, NJ, November 19, 2007 - The Computer Measurement Group (CMG), the Information Technology professionals responsible for planning, measuring and managing the world’s largest IT infrastructures, announces that the Apdex Alliance will hold its second annual Apdex Symposium at the CMG’07 on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in San Diego, CA at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

The Apdex Alliance is the standards organization for the Application Performance Index (Apdex), a numerical measure of user satisfaction with enterprise application performance that shows how effectively IT supports business objectives. The full day ‘conference within a conference’ has five sessions featuring six speakers who will focus on technologies and processes that make Apdex work.

Case studies will feature speakers with hands-on experience who will describe goals, deployment, and benefits of their Apdex implementations. APM best practices examples will be presented along with explanations for how to use Apdex to enhance APM Attendees will also see results of a benchmarking survey of how well more than 300 companies are delivering APM.

The Symposium will cover additional aspects of the Apdex methodology such as alternative approaches to defining and validating the Apdex parameters.
