Performance Engineer

You will be responsible for developing methods and tools to measure, and improving performance and scalability for key workflows, such as MATLAB startup, client-server solutions using the MATLAB Production Server, the core language, and AI workflows.

Responsibilities

Assist in driving the performance strategy for key workflows
Gather performance requirements
Design and implement performance and scalability frameworks
Collaborate with product teams on identifying bottlenecks and optimizing performance

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master’s degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

Interest in performance measurement and optimization is required
Experience with performance profiling tools (VTune, Instruments, xperf) is a strong plus
Experience with programming parallel/concurrent systems is a plus
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills are a plus
Understanding of throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization is a plus
Experience with AI, deep learning, machine learning, TensorFlow and PyTorch is a plus
Experience with C++ is a plus
Experience with JavaScript is a plus
Experience with MATLAB and Simulink is a plus
