Observability Virtual Conference 2020 – Providing Business Value Through Observability

Presenters: Chris Bailey

Abstract:

When we look at business value, we often assume that the product we are building, that app which is going to revolutionize the world, that change in the infrastructure of a complex process, will provide endless benefits to users and consumers. What we do not expect are changes which can sometimes have catastrophic effects on customers, and we are sometimes short-sighted in estimating these effects.

In this talk, you will learn to apply observability principles to a company moving from legacy infrastructure to a modern solution. You will learn how making a system observable helps to go beyond the traditional role of monitoring and provide business insights, forecasting, and moreover-value.

Presentation and Video  Available. To view the video and access the presentation, you must be a virtual conference registrant or have a CMG membership.
